UP CM Asks NRIs in Mauritius

The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has asked the NRIs in Mauritius to take the advantage of the the UP government’s “Find Your Root” scheme and to visit their native places.

He was speaking at the function in Port Louis. The functions was organzied by Indian Ambassador in Mauritius on Friday.

Stressing upon the increasing ties between India and Mauritius, the CM said that the ties between both the countries have been cemented further since Prime Minister Narendra Modi issued the OCI card for the NRIs in 2015. The Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) card allows to visit India for lifelong period and does not have to apply for the visa. These peoper area also provided by the basic facilities, which the Indian citizen enjoys.

Yogi said that OCI cards have also been received by around nine benefeciaries from Gorakhpur and these people can now visit their home town without facing any problems.

In his visit, the UP CM also visited Ramayana Center and spoke about Dipotsav, his government celebrated in Ayodhya on October 18.
