A British Indian has become the sixth person in Britain to die from the coronavirus in the United Kingdom.

It has been identified that the British Indian named Manohar Krishna Prabhu, who is a devotee of Lord Krishna and who visited Bhaktivedanta Manor in Walford has died in his eighties as he had contacted the deadly novel coronavirus at Watford General Hospital during the night on Monday.

Professor Chris Whitty who is the chief medical officer for England has said that “I am sorry to confirm a sixth patient in England who tested positive for Covid-19 has sadly died. The patient, being treated by West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust, had underlying health conditions. It appears the virus was acquired in the UK and full contact tracing has begun.”

Manohar Krishna Prabhu is said to be the first person from the Indian- origin known to have died of the deadly novel coronavirus in Britain. The son of the British Indian Manohar is still being treated at the hospital.

Parasuram Das who is also a devotee of lord Krishna has said that Manohar Krishna Prabhu who is a Sindhi had contracted the coronavirus from an Italian man who has visited his house for buying some audio equipment from his son.

He added saying that the Italian man who has visited the house of Manohar was unwell following which Manohar had fallen ill soon afterwards and had visited a hospital and four guys from the temple who had went to visit Manohar have also kept in quarantine condition. The devotees had went to the hospital in order to visit Manohar and his son being concerned about them as it has not been confirmed that they have been suffering from the deadly novel COVID-19 and therefore it has been thought that the duo have been suffering from pneumonia.

A statement has been issued through the trust, by the family members of Manohar where in has been said that “We have lost a loving, caring father, grandfather and brother. His age and failing health did not stop him from living a full and complete life and always doing things for other people. He was guided by his innate kindness. Our father will be sorely missed, not just by us but by those whose lives he touched.”

George Harrison of the Beatles has donated the estate of Bhaktivedanta Manor to Iskcon after he has developed an interest in the spiritual aspects of India after the band’s tour to Rishikesh in the 1960.
