Amidst the constant turmoil of uncertainty in the world, individuals are coming forward for doing their part in helping the frontline workers and the individuals in need.

With US crossing over 1.5 million confirmed cases and being the worst hit country in the world, it is not surprising that the country needs all the support it can to tide this over. It accounts for one third of the total Covid-19 cases in the world.

Millions of Americans are coming forward to do their part for the country and the people in the country. Among them, one is the girl scouts group in Maryland who are doing their part in contributing to the society during the times of need.

President Donald Trump, on Friday, honoured a 10-year old Indian-American named Sravya Annappareddy for donating cookies for the nurses and the firefighters working consistently to fight the threats of Covid-19. She has also been sending them personalised greeting cards to cheer them up.

The 10-year old girl is part of the Girls Scout group and is currently studying in the fourth grade at the Hanover Hills Elementary School in Maryland. Her parents originally hail from Andhra Pradesh and are migrants in US.

The reports suggest that the girl scouts group of Sravya, Laila Khan and Lauren Matney of Troop 744 have donated 100 boxes of the girl scout cookies to the local doctors, nurses and the firefighters. They have also given out over 200 greeting cards to the frontline workers appreciating their contributions to the society.

Khan, who represented the troop expressed her gratitude in being able to be part of this whole event and being honoured by the President. She further said that even though she is extremely elated about their achievements and honours, she knows for a fact that her troop is one in the millions who are doing the same thing. She said that it is nothing but sheer priviledge for her to be able to represent them all.
