For the first time, the Institute of Measurement and Control in London has appointed an Indian American Chemical Engineer Dr. Raj Shah in its hall of Fellows this week.

Dr. Raj Shah is widely acknowledged for his contributions in the field of Fuels, Lubricants, and Greases. Recently he was also named a fellow at the Royal Society of Chemistry, UK.

Founded in 1994, the Institute of Measurement and Control is an international professional body of professional engineers and scientists working in the measurement, control, and automation fields.

Besides involving in aforementioned fields, the institute currently in the digital age is also involved in the areas of linked to intelligence including Internet of Things, cyber security, smart cities and transport networks, driverless cars, personal health monitoring, and astronomical exploration.

Shah is well recognized for his inventions in creating standardized test methods for use around the world by the American Standard of Testing Materials (ASTM) International for the past 20 years.

He was presented the John A. Bellanti Sr. Memorial Awarded and PM Ku medal.

Currently, Shah is serving as the director of Koehler Instrument Company, Inc. based in Holtsville, New York and also on the Board of Directors and Advisers of various institutions.

Shah resides in Lon Island, New York with his wife Dr. Niloufar Faridi and their son Kian.
