Skin rashes, often accompanied by superficial bumps, are characterized by redness and an itchy inflammation. The colour and the texture of the skin may change according to the severity of the situation.

1Olive Oil

Extra virgin olive oil is known to act as a great moisturizer for the skin. It not only heals the skin from acute episodes of inflammations, but also promotes the natural growth of new skin. The abundance of vitamin e not only soothes the skin, but also drastically reduces the itching.

You may simply choose to rub a drizzle of extra virgin olive on the affected area to experience immediate relief. You may also alternatively choose to apply a concoction of olive oil and honey, or turmeric powder to the infected area. Castor oil, coconut oil or vitamin e oil are known to be equally beneficial in treating rashes of the skin.

2Baking Soda

Baking soda dehydrates the affected area, providing immediate relief against redness and itching. It may be applied on the inflammation in a simple solution with water, or coconut oil and left for some time before it may be washed away.

3Oatmeal

Oatmeal is known for its anti-inflammatory properties. It has proven to be therapeutic against general allergies, sunburn, eczema and poison ivy.

You may choose to soak about 100 grams of oatmeal in a bucket of warm water, to be later used for bathing. Otherwise, it may be made into a paste with milk and honey and added to the bath water.

4Aloe vera

Aloe Vera is known for its anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties.

The gel may be freshly extracted in its natural form, from the fleshy leaves of the plant. It may be subsequently obtained commercially. Simple application on the affected area is a proven remedy for skin rashes.

5Cold Compress

A cold compress is known to be extremely beneficial for skin rashes, especially in case of heat inflammations and insect bites.

It may be simply prepared by putting some ice cubes and salt in a piece of cloth, and making a tight pack out of it. The salt prevents the ice from melting immediately.

6Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar, in its raw and unadulterated form is known to be an excellent remedy for skin rashes. It may be simply applied on the affected area by dipping a wad of cotton in apple cider vinegar. Regular application is sure to give you a healthy skin in no time.

7Chamomile

Chamomile brings about a soothing sensation to the skin, and relieves it of itching and redness. A warm brew may be prepared using chamomile leaves, which upon cooling may be used to soak a washcloth and applied to the affected regions.
