An Indian American woman has announced that she will be running for the US House of Representatives as she said that she wants to a voice but not a noise for the community especially the Hindus in the United States.

Manga Anantatmula who is based from Andhra Pradesh has already raised he voice against the alleged discrimination that has been taking place during the admission of Asians in the Ivy League Schools. She had worked as a contractor of the federal government in defence acquisition programme management.

It has been said that Manga Anantatmula has already become a presumptive nominee of the Republic party from the 11th Congressional District of Virginia and has been the first candidate of the Indian origin to run for the House of Representatives.

The 11th Congressional District is said to be comprising mostly of the affluent Fairfax County on the outskirts of Washington DC and is said to be a Democratic strong bastion. It has been said that the 11th Congressional District has about 17 per cent of the population from Asian which includes 7 per cent of Indian Americans, as per the estimation.

It has been observed that the Asian Americans which also includes Indian- Americans would extend their support generally to the candidates of the candidates Democratic party. However, Anantatmula hopes that she would turn the tide in the Congressional elections which are scheduled to be in November.

Anantatmula has filed her nomination on the 26th of January and it has been said that she would be formally launching her Congressional Campaign from Herdon which is a Virginia suburb of Washington DC, on Saturday.

It has also been said that Anantatmula has expanded her first name Manga as “Making Americans Great Again”.

Manga Anantatmula says that she would strive in strengthening the relationship between India and United States if elected as the House of Representatives. She has been running her campaign on the platform of reducing taxes, fight for the equal rights for women, extending help for the growth of small and medium business and the affordable health care.

She has been supporting the India’s stand on the Kashmir issue and the Citizenship Amendment Act that has been recently enacted and also in the building of the Ram temple in Ayodhya.

Manga Anantatmula was born in Andhra Pradesh and has done her schooling from Chennai. She has been graduated from the Agra University and has later travelled as an immigrant to the United States.
