Boycott China movement has been going on for a long time in India. Boycott Made in China products is taking a rise in Indian market where more and more companies are not buying goods from Chinese market. China which is known for its global manufacturing hub seems to lose its Indian customers. Recently Indian government also banned 59 Chinese apps from India saying security reasons as they have not been complying the safety rules of Indian law.

The Indian all over the world have been protesting against the Chinese government. Recently Indians in Canada also held a protest of Boycott China in Vancouver.

Today Indian-Americans took to the streets of the Big Apple to protest against China. The Indian-Americans have also stood in support of Boycott Chinain a protest demonstration against China at the heart of New York City. The protests were seen at Times Square in New York. The protests were an obvious aftermath of the deadly and violent clash at the border between the Indian army and Chinese PLA troops. The border clash in Himalayas at the Galwan Valley had left 76 soldiers injured and 20 of the soldiers have been martyred.

The protests not only had Americans from Indian origin but also stood with them in large numbers were people from Tibetan community and Taiwanese Americans.

Since the Galwan standoff between India and China, anti-China protests have broken out in several cities in the United States and scenes in New York looked no different as people were seen holding placards, raising the Indian and Tibetan national flags along with chanting pro-India and anti-china slogans. The protestors believe that even though the “boycott China” campaign has already been more successful than anticipated, there is still a lot to be done apart from simply stalling the use of Chinese products.

The protests had 3 main T’s involved in the agenda of their cause where protestors stressed and demanded what needs to be done. The first one was to put an end on Trade, which is the boycott of Chinese products, the second is complete independence of Tiber and the third T is the total support of Taiwan. The protestors also pressed that how the 3 world leaders which include the president of United States of America, Donald Trump; Prime minister of India, Narendra Modi and the Prime Minister of Japan Shinoz Abe; can successfully handle these three T’s by a globalcoalition by these 3 world leaders.

Both Japan and United States of America have spoken for India against China during this ongoing clash. Not just that Defence Minister of France has also stood for India during this battle with China.

Jagdish Sewhani, President of the American India Public Affairs Committee, who has been at the forefront of calls for the boycott on China protest in New York, described China as a” rogue communist regime”, that is displaying its “naked aggression” against its neighbors including India. Jagdish also pointed out that the fact of the Hong Kong situation, where China is not treating their own people right and also the Tibetan issues where China has been doing the so called ethnic cleansing against the peace loving people in Tibet and not to forget how China has been treating the Muslims in Xinjaiang province of China.

Mr. Sewhani was not just joined by the members of the India community, but the protests also had members from both Taiwan and Tibetan communities standing for Indian and against China. The students of Tibet have also said that the people of Tibet strongly condemn the Chinese military intrusions on Indian soil. The people from Tibetan community in the protests also shouted out to India and world government to take immediate multilateral action against Beijing’s authoritarian rule by rejecting ‘One China Policy.’ The protestors and Times Square also told that similar demonstrations will be soon seen in other parts of the United States.
