Indian American held for selling gun silencers

According to the statement by the American Attorney on Thursday, an Indian-American has been arrested for selling the gun silencers illegally for 30 months.

The 31-years-old Mohit Chauhan from Pitampura in Indian capital New Delhi has been sentenced to the three years of jails, according to the statement released by the Department of Justice.

Chauhan has been found convicted after he pleaded guilty in front of the US District Judge Elizabeth Foote in Louisiana. According to the guilty plea dated April 20, 2017, Chauhan was contacted by someone.

After discussing the deal through email and phones, Chauhan had a meeting with the guy on Shreveport and carried silencer parts with him.

In a statement released by the Department of Justice, Chauhan did not have a valid license to do the business of gun silencers and arms.
