A bodybuilding champion of an Indian- origin has died after collapsing in a celebrity fight in Singapore. The findings that have been released on Tuesday has confirmed that the cause of the death was a natural cause related to heart.

Pradip Subramaniam who was the former president of the world bodybuilding and physique sports federation Singapore has died at the age of 32 because of two heart conditions that were underlying, as reported by the Channel News Asia citing the coroner findings.

According to the findings, it says that Pradip Subramaniam had taken Sreven Lim who was a YouTuber, in a celebrity match of Muay Thai at the Marina Bay Sands of Singapore on the 23rd of September in the year 2017.

Kamala Pommapalam who is the state coroner has noted that the forensic pathologist has verified the cause of the death of Pradip as an abnormally enlarged heart with a genetic abnormality in the proteins of the heart cell which is then termed as a natural disease process.

The report has said that it has been stated by the two medical experts that the medical screening which had been done prior to the match was done in an adequate manner and that the doctor who was on site would not have been able to detect the condition of Pradip Subramanium as it would have required an electrocardiogram (ECG) which has to be conducted in order to detect the condition.

Therefore, the Indian- origin bodybuilder has been certified fit for the bout, after undergoing the process of medical screening which has been done by the on- site doctor on the day of the fight.

The reports had mentioned the documents of the court mentioning that the second round in the bout had been started at around 8:15 pm where Pradip was hit in his face three times in a row by Lim which had led to the shoving Pradip off his balance.

The video footage has been viewed where it was observed that Pradip had been slow in dodging the punches that were thrown at him, as said by the coroner.

After this, Pradip has remained in the corner of the ring and had not responded to attempts that were made by the referee in order to get him move forward following which the match had been called off by the referee as the attempts made by the referee to move Pradip forward have failed, as mentioned in the report.

Both Pradip Subramanium and Lim have been invited to the stage for declaring the winner of the match at around 8:28 pm after which Pradip returned to the corner of the ring and was resting while a victory speech was being given by Lim for around two minutes.

Pradip has received a medal after which he slumped down against the padded corner column of the ring. He was then attended by the medical professionals and was rushed to the hospital. He was pronounced dead in the hospital at 9:51 pm, said the report.
