An Indian origin man from London Borough of Ealing has been charged with the murder of a 69-year-old musician in a broad daylight after a pint at his local pub.
The 35-year-old Gurjeet Singh Lall allegedly killed Allan Isichei, a onetime Wasps rugby player, on August 26 as he walked home from the Plough Inn in Southall, west London after performing music at his regular venue.
A resident named Raj Grover found him bleeding outside his home and called the emergency services.
Confirming that Lall has been charged with the fatal stabbing, the Metropolitan Police said: “Homicide detectives from Specialist Crime are investigating.”
Lall appeared at Willesden Magistrates’ Court custody on Friday and was remanded to appear at the Old Bailey court next Tuesday. Soon after the incident police appealed for witnesses to come forward with any information related to the attack.

Grover was shocked to see Isichei bleeding at his doorstep after the attack in South Hall and he immediately gave first aid to Isichei while his wife called an ambulance. But, the victim succumbed to his injuries and died at the scene.
“He rang the bell and I went out. He was full of blood, and then I was running to pick up a towel,” said Grover, who was getting ready to head out for his own birthday party at the time.
Wasps Rugby Club said it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the death of their former teammate and coach.
“Our thoughts and condolences go out to Allan’s wife Sandra, children Emma, Daniel, and David, along with all his other family and friends during this difficult time,” the club said in a statement.
