Kamala Harris first time senator from California announced her presidential bid race.

A member of the democratic party wishes to run for President of United States in 2020 Presidential elections.

Kamala, born to Indian mother and Jamaican father on October 20, 1964 in Oakland, California.

She would be first African-American woman to run for the president.

Announced her Presidential bid by saying “I am running for president of the United States,” said to ABC news and added, “I love my country. This is a moment in time that I feel a sense of responsibility to stand up and fight for the best of who we are,”

Explaining her announcement on historic Martin Luther King Jr Day she said  “The thing about Dr King that always inspires me is that he was aspirational.We know that we’ve not yet reached those ideals. But our strength is that we fight to reach those ideals,”

She is one of the strong critics of Trump policies.

Previously served as Attorney general of California from 2011 to 2017 now she joins Presidential race with another Indian-American Tulsi Gabbard.
