Pfizer published an update about COVID immunization pilot program in four states of US. It will be an incharge of making coronavirus vaccine available to individuals in the selected states.

Pfizer Inc. is a US pharma company that is aiming to deliver the COVID-19 vaccine in four US states.The four selected states are Rhode Island,Texas, New Mexico, Tennessee.Pfizer will carry out the COVID vaccine deliver and deployment for these states.

The drug maker gave the reasons behind selecting the particular states for the immunization program. It is based on the overall size, population, infrastructure for immunization.The main motto of the pilot program is, to make vaccine reachable to all the individuals. It is planning to cover both rural and urban areas equally.

COVID-19 vaccine proved to work 90% effectively in preventing the infection. The drug maker put forth the concern of distribution challenges due to ultra cold storage requirements.The vaccine must be stored at 70 degrees Celsius (minus 94F).

Pfizer along with it’s partner BioNTech SE agreed for a deal of $1.95 billion with US government. It will be providing 100 million vaccine doses which has an option to an additional of 500 million vaccine doses.

During early hours of Monday, Moderna Inc updated that its vaccine was 94.5% effective. It confirmed that COVID vaccine will hopefully be available soon for use. Both the vaccines from Pfizer and Moderna are developed with a technology termed as synthetic messenger RNA. The technology is to activate the immune system against dreadful virus.
