President Donald Trump is being treated for COVID-19 at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and began receiving an anti-viral drug.

A memo was shared by the White House press secretary Kayleigh Mc Enany where he said that Trump is doing very well.

As per the memo, Trump is in no need of any oxygen support but in consultations with the health professionals, he started taking Remdesivir therapy, which has been proven to shorten the hospital stay of coronavirus patients.

This news comes after Trump has announced on Friday that he and first lady Melania Trump had tested positive for COVID-19 followed by a sudden news that he was being shifted to the hospital.

Hours after announcing the news, Trump has first made his public appearance while reaching his helicopter and displayed no major symptoms of the virus.

After his arrival, the President posted a short video assuring people that he was doing very well.

However, it is extremely rare for a President to stay overnight at a hospital given the extensive hospital facilities at the White House itself.

According to a person familiar to the President, Trump has become increasingly worried about his diagnosis and has developed a fever overnight.

Several people in closer aid to Trump have also tested positive for the virus including the campaign manager and the White House Counselor.

Meanwhile, Melania Trump remains well with only a mild headache and cough and the remainder of the family tested negative for coronavirus.
