Britain is the first country to approve the Pfizer- BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine. The official sources say that vaccine is ready to supply from next week.

The authorities said “The government has today accepted the recommendation from the independent Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) to approve Pfizer-BioNTech’s COVID-19 vaccine for use”.

The government confirmed that the vaccine will be available across the UK fro next week. The emergency authorization is approved which enable a way for vaccine deployment.

Britain’s vaccine committee will look after which priority groups will get the first dose of vaccine against cooronavirus. Mostly, the committee will include care home residents, health care workers, the elderly citizens.

The US Pharma groups chief executive described the UK’s Pfizer vaccine approval as an “historic moment” in the battle of driving away COVID-19.

Both the vaccines- Pfizer and Moderna have reportedly showed more than 90% effectiveness during the vaccine trials against COVID.

The U.K made the vaccine available up to 20 million doses of double shot. Pfizer company is tied with a deal of procuring hundred of million of vaccine doses to countries Europe, the U.S, Japan and many others.

Pfizer and the partner company BioNtech provided the regulatory clearance for their vaccine this week by approaching the European Union. It is the way for potential approval before the end of the year. The U.S Food and Drug Administration Panel will meet the vaccine company to discuss the vaccine supply.
