US strong ties with India

The top US lawmakers across the parties has reiterated their support to strengthening ties against India and have also asked the Indian-American community to find new ways to grow further.

The Congressmen and Senators from both, Republican and the opposition Democratic Party as expressed that strong ties with India is necessary and the Indian-American community has a major role to play in maintaining good ties between India as well as United States.

Chuck Schumer, who has always been criticized for his anti-H1B views has asserted that he has worked hard in allowing more immigrants, from South Asia, especially India, to come to the US. He also said that he made special provisions while writing the Immigration Bill to allow more Indians to come to America.

Seconding his views, Democratic Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard has also said that both India and United States has maintained a good partnership by cooperating in various field such as education, business and counterterrorism.

Another Congressmen Ed Royce, who is a chairman of the House of Foreign Relations Committee expressed that both the countries have “historic opportunities” to go forward. He also asserted that India lives in a “tough neighborhood”.

Various other Senators as well as Congressmen in the gathering has also reiterated that Indo-US partnership will continue to be strong and both the countries will strengthen the ties with each other.
