Temporarily, the premium processing of visas was suspended by the USCIS due to coronavirus from March 20. Now, these visa applications will be reopened by the USCIS. The H-1B petitions filed before June 8ththat are pending adjudication and are cap exempt will be accepted by the USCIS and processed effective June 8th.

What the USCIS will approve of before June 8 is the Form I-129 petitions for nonimmigrant classifications that are eligible for a premium processing.

From June 15th, the USCIS will even start the H1B petitions requesting for a premium processing by filing an I-907 along with their I-29 with an exemption from cap.

Other forms of I-29 petitions such as all the H1B cap subject petitions (even the ones in the fiscal year 2021), change of status from F-1 non-immigrant status, for premium processing upgrades and concurrently filed I-907s will start by June 22nd according to what USCIS has planned.

As USCIS has plans to get on with more premium processing requests, it has given instructions that the dates are likely to change. Further if there are more changes, the dates will be intimated accordingly.

Since the USCIS wasn’t accepting any premium processing during the coronavirus lockdown, from June 1, 2020, it will start to accept Forms I-907 and I-140 petitions.
