On Tuesday, President Donald Trump was glad on getting approval of the first US vaccine for coronavirus. The Whitehouse made an effort to boost confidence in the massive distribution effort that would be executed by President-elect Joe Biden.

As per Trump, these expected approvals are coming much before people thought it was possible.

On Tuesday, the White House event celebrating the “Operation Warp Speed” was led by Trump since his administration made efforts to produce and distribute safe and effective vaccines for covid-19.

FDA is likely to endorse the first vaccine, from drugmaker Pfizer, this week, with the delivery of 100 million doses — enough for 50 million Americans.

“Every American who wants the vaccine will be able to get the vaccine and we think by spring we’re going to be in a position nobody would have believed possible just a few months ago,” Trump said.

Although, Pfizer developed its vaccine outside of “Operation Warp Speed,” for manufacturing and distributing, it is partnering with the federal government.

Earlier Tuesday, England started its first vaccination. Trump and his assistants hope to build confidence in Americans about the vaccines. Moreover, they want to make the Republican president’s legacy too.

But trump’s administration is facing a new scrutiny after not being able to grab a chance to purchase millions of additional doses of Pfizer’s vaccine, which is so far the most effective vaccine to battle against Covid-19.

Until Pfizer fulfills other international contracts, this decision might delay the delivery of the second batch of doses.

On Tuesday, Trump made the most of the executive order in which the  secretary of Health and Human Services is aiming at prioritizing Americans to get the vaccine.

For “Operation Warp Speed” featured by Trump, the individuals invited were, Vice President Mike Pence, a host of government experts, state leaders, and business executives. No one from Biden’s transition team was invited.

While speaking at Wilmington, Delaware, Biden assured to distribute “100 million shots in the first 100 days” of his administration.

As per Trump administration, between Pfizer and Moderna, US will be able to give vaccines to any American who wishes to be vaccinated by the end of the second quarter of 2021.

Both moderna and Pfizer are 95% effective against the virus. FDA will announce it’s decision on both the vaccines within days of each meeting.

By the end of this year, there are plans of distributing and administering around 40 million doses of the two companies’ vaccines by the end of the year.

The first doses shipping would take place within hours of FDA clearance.
