Crafted in Warangal, Telangana and Shipped to New York, America gets its tallest Lord Hanuman Statues installed in the state of Delaware. The statue costs a whopping 100,000$ including construction and logistics.

The statue which travelled from Hyderabad to NewYork via ship was installed in the Hockessin city in the New Castle County of the Delaware state. The state has the largest Hindu temple of America. The statue is 25 feet tall and weighs 45 tonnes. The most unique part of this statue is that it was carved in a single black granite rock.

The whole installation or staphana process of the statue of Lord Hanuman was a 10 day ritual where families were seen wearing orange coloured clothes having printed on THE HANUMAN PROJECT and offered their prayers.

The statue was crafted in Warangal, which is a small city in Telangana the southern state of India. The statue was carved by multiplenumbers of skilled artisans also called as the Shilpils.Dozens of these artisans worked throughout the year to make this magnificent statue.

This idol of Lord Hanuman was shipped back in January from Hyderabad via a ship. The statue was directly shipped to NewYork and from there it was taken to Delaware which has the largest Hindu temple in the country via a flatbed truck. When the idol also known as the ‘moorthy’ arrived in the temple, the priest performed various rituals for its purification. The purification of the deity was performed using rice grains, water and a lot of flowers. Lord Hanuman has the power of strength and devotion, the priests along with a few other people performed a divine intervention in which they believe that the arrival of Lord Hanuman in the state is a good sign and will bring good things along with it. Just like Lord Hanuman bought the Sanjeevani boothi, this moorthy will definitely bring peace and good vibes in the nature.

After the installation of the statue and performing the rituals the senator of America, New County Castle executive and Governor of Delaware also visited the temple to support the Indian community and seek blessings from Lord Hanuman.

However this was not the whole unveiling of the statue was planned. The president of the Hindu temple of Delaware Association told in an interview that earlier they had planned thousands of devotees would come to celebrate this auspicious occasion and welcome the lord to the state. According to the current pandemic which has affected the worst in the United States, the gatherings and devotees have been cut to minimal.

The president also thanked the people who were involved in logistics of the statue and who belonged to various different faiths but took utmost care of the statue to be shipped to the different part of the world.
