Amidst several Indians losing their jobs in Arab because of their Islamophobic views, another Canada-based Indian expat also lost his job because of similar views of rage and hatred. The person was fired on spot and his contract was terminated with one of the leading real estate companies.

Ravi Hooda, who has been later identified as the accused, was a member of the ‘School Council Chair’ in Peel District School in Brampton.

Several of the Toronto municipalities have granted permission for the local mosques to call for prayer (azaan) on the loudspeakers because of the social distancing and self isolating norms in the country. This specific move by the municipalities was highly appreciated by the Muslims in the country.

Hooda, on the other hand, oppressed this sudden permission that was granted by the Toronto municipalities. He later posted a tride mocking the Muslims and their faiths.

“What’s next? Separate lanes for camel & goat riders, allowing slaughter of animals at home in the name of sacrifice, bylaw requiring all women to cover themselves from head to toe in tents to appease the piece fools for votes,” Hood exclaimed in the post.

Canada, a country that is known for their liberal approach and is welcoming of every culture was shocked by the atrocious comments that were thrown around by Hooda.

Peel District School Board in Brampton later reported that they have removed Hooda from his position and that an investigation is underway against the accused.

The prinicipal reported that they are doing an investigation. Hooda has been removed and won’t be able to participate in any of the activities arranged by the council. The school tweeted saying that Islamophobia is not acceptable and a complete violation of the policies that the school believes in.

Aside from that, one of Canada’s top real estate marketing agency, ReMax also terminated Hooda’s contract.

They further clarified saying that they neither share nor support the kind of views that Hooda has expressed. They later confirmed that they have terminated his contract. ReMax further tweeted saying, “Multiculturalism & diversity are some of the best qualities in our communities, and we are committed to upholding these values in all that we do.”

Brampton Mayor Patrick Brown also condemned the kind of views that Hooda has expressed against a community in the country. He further clarified that Canada has not and will not tolerate such kinds of hatred towards a community.

“Our noise by law originally passed in 1984 only included an exemption for Church bells. It will now include all faiths within the permitted hours & decibel levels. The Muslim community can proceed with the sunset azan because it’s 2020 & we treat all faiths equally. #Ramadan,” Brown further tweeted.
