President Donald Trump said that we will leave the office if Biden is officially confirmed as winner of the U.S election. Mr.Trump’s statement on Biden’s Presidential election seems like an unprecedented way to refuse the acceptance of election results. Since the November 3 elections, Trump has been spreading wild theories about stolen ballots and he has thrown baseless legal challenges.
When Trump was asked if will leave the White House if Biden’s victory is confirmed, he said “Certainly I will. And you know that”. And he also added saying, “if they do, they made a mistake and it’s going to be very hard thing to concede”
The body that determines the White House winner is The Electoral College, which will officially declare Biden’s victory with 306 votes over Trump’s 232 votes.
Trump still believes that the election was a “fraud”. He compared the U.S voting structure with a “third world country”
Trump’s statement against the vote outcome is added to many norms he violated during his 4 year presidency. He alleged that voting machines deliberately deleted millions of votes he received. He suspects the fault in the U.S voting system despite the government election security agency is known as “the most secure” election in the U.S history.
Meanwhile Biden, this week the new members of the White House, Veteran diplomats and policy-makers. He said “America is back” while introducing his team.
He said that the first 100 days of his position is to tackle the COVID crisis, scrap the Trump policies which were “damaging” the environment and push legislation offering millions of undocumented U.S residents a route to citizenship.
