Indian-American providing resources to help Florida

The Indian-American community Georgia and Atlanta is again standing up for their countrymen in Florida, who are facing the rampage made by the Hurricane Irma with wind speed of around 193 km per hour.

Around 1,20,000 Indian-Americans are living in Florida, according to the census in 2010. Large number of Indian-Americans have now come out of the Florida and reached Atlanta to save themselves from horrific natural calamity.

The Officials in the Atlanta Consulate along with New York Consul General Sandeep Chakravorty are trying to provide shelters to the people coming from Florida to Atlanta. Along with them, Sewa International is also working to create a pool of houses for making the living arrangements for the people coming from Irma-hit areas of Atlanta.

Various Hindu temples in Atlanta as well as organizations such as Indian Friends in Atlanta and Seva USA are also providing resources to people from Florida to live.

Indian-Americans in Atlanta and Georgia have also opened the doors for the people coming from Florida so that they can live in the homes.
