Indian-origin doctor died by Stabbing

In an horrific incident, well-known psychiatrist in Kansas Dr Achutha Reddy has been stabbed to death on Wednesday. Dr Reddy belonged to the Miryalaguda in Nalgonda district.

The Wichita police has arrested a 21-year-old Umar Rashid Dutt in connection with the stabbing. The suspect now has been sent to the Sedgwick County Jail. According to the reports, Dutt was a patient of Dr Reddy and he was arrested from the Wichita Country Club from a parking area. The motive of the murder is still unclear.

While addressing the press conference, Wichita Police said that first they were informed by the Holistic Psychiatric Services at 7.22 pm about the murder. At 7.40 pm they received another call from the security guards of of the Wichita Country Club after noticing a suspicious man in the parking area.

The Clinic Manager found that Dr Reddy has been assaulted. Dr Reddy was chased by the accused and was later stabbed to death by him, said the police.

Dr Reddy was an alumni of the Osmania University, from where he studies psychiatry in 1986. His internship in the internal medicine was done at the St. Louis University School of Medicine. Dr Reddy was a also certified in psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

Large number of his patients was shock after the news of his murder broke. Many of them even wrote posts dedicated to him on the social media.
