Indian doctor charged with 118 sex offences

In an horrible incident, a 47-year-old Indian-origin doctor has been held by the Scotland Yard with charges of 118 sex offences, including an assault on a child under 13 years of age.

The London-based Dr. Manish Shah, who is working from Brunel Close in the city’s Romford area has been accused of 65 counts of penetrative assault and 52 allegations of sexual assault, according to Metropolitan Police.

In a statement, which was released today, Metropolitan Police said that Manish Shah, who has been charged with 65 sexual assault, has been booked under Section 2 of the Sexual Offences Act 2003 (for 65 assault by penetration) along with the Section 3 of the Sexual Offences Act 2003 (for 52 sexual assault) and Section 7 of Sexual offences Act 2003 (for assault on child).

All these offences, according to the reports, took place from June 2004 to July 2013 on around 54 victims.

The investigation on Shah was going on since 2013. He had managed to take bails several times since he was arrested in that year.

Shah, who is currently out on bail, will be produced in Barkingside Magistrates court in London on August 31.
