Several Indians on H-1B with US born kids are feeling left out and they pleaded to allow travelling to India. Indian government launched the Vande Bharat Mission which is to repatriate the Indian stranded in the US.

A woman, Anguraj Kailasam is out of status in the US as her visa has expired. She requested the Indian government to allow minors of Indians with visas to travel with the same repatriation mission. Under the mission already,1.07 lakh are brought to India so far.

According to the US law, she will have to leave the country as soon as possible but the present Indian law would allow her with her US-born daughter.

If Indian government allows travel from the US to India, the families can come together for support in the coronavirus crisis.

Anguraj Kailasam said “She (daughter) has an entry and emergency visa, but due to the current travel visa restrictions, we cannot go back to India since all visas are suspended by the government of India”

As their kids don’t have a visa, they can’t come back to India leaving their kids alone in the US. They have valid reasons to travel back India but India is restricted to the visas travelling.

A woman named Jincy Mathew said her husband lost his job and they are finding it extremely difficult to live in the US. A charity organization is helping them with basic facilities and they have a six months old baby.

Most of the Indian who are stuck in America are waiting to visit India as soon as possible. They are to fly from the US once the government relaxes the restrictions kept due to coronavirus restrictions.
