A man has been sentenced to 10 years in jail by the criminal court in United Arab Emirates. The 43 year-old man has stabbed an Indian woman and her seven-year-old daughter in a lift of a building and has also murdered another person.
The criminal court in the United Arab Emirates has given a verdict on Sunday saying that, the accused will serve seven years in jail for the murder of the compatriot and three more years for the stabbings. As reported by the Khaleej Times, the 43 year-old will be deported after the completion of the entire prison term.
The incident has taken place in January 16, 2019 when the police has rushed to the crime scene on receiving information. The police has found the woman and her daughter bleeding and the Sudanese man was already dead.
The confessions of the murder of the Sudanese and the stabbing of a woman and her daughter were made by the accused during the investigations. He has claimed that the crimes were committed because he has been suffering from psychological pressure that aroused due to family problems.
The Indian woman said during the previous hearings, that she has been attacked while she was returning with her daughter to her house. She added saying that, the defendant stabbed in her shoulder, back and hand as she was trying to save her daughter from the perpetrator.
The wife of the dead told Khaleej Times that he husband was working as an accountant in a company in the Dubai free zone and that he was an extremely gentle person who would not hesitate to help anyone in need.
