Amit Jani, president and cofounder of the N.J. Leadership Program was recognized for his contribution to the Indian-American community’s political involvement at GOPIO Central Jersey’s 10th Anniversary Gala Community Recognition & Awards Banquet at Ember Restaurant in South Brunswick, N.J., June 3.

Jani was among eight honored for their contribution to the Indian-American community.

The list of honored dignitaries with Rep. Frank Pallone Jr. (D-N.J.):

  • US Pharma Labs founder Ashok Luhadia
  • Entrepreneur Pinakin Pathak
  • AUM Dance Creations founder and director Rina Shah and Sparsh Shah
  • TV Asia chairman H.R. Shah
  • Parikh Worldwide Media Inc. chairman and publisher Dr. Sudhir Parikh

Consul General of India in New York Sandeep Chakravorty was the chief guest. New Jersey Assemblymen Raj Mukherji and Andrew Zwicker, South Brunswick Mayor Charlie Carley and West Windsor , N.J. Mayor Hemant Marathe also attended the event.
