A leading Non-Resident Indian industrialist, Swraj Paul has received a lifetime achievement award for his endeavor towards promoting brand India in United Kingdom.

Mr. Paul, founder of Caparo Group of Industries, a British company mainly involved in the steel industry that came into being in 1968 was acknowledged at UK & Asia Business Awards ceremony held in London, organized by World Consulting and Research Corporation, the research and consultancy firm behind collating the world’s iconic brands.

Among some other awards presented at the event, a prominent Indian-origin peer, Lord Karn Bilimoria, co-founder of Cobra Beer received Business Leader of the Decade honor.

“An extraordinary brand lives by and never compromises on its principles,” said Bilmoria at the event.

Deputy High Commissioner of India to the UK, Dinesh K Patnaik, who was honored as an “iconic leader” presented the award to Swraj Paul.

“We know the importance of brands in today’s world and one person who has really made a difference to Brand India is Prime Minister Modi. He has raised the image of the country and made us all proud,” said Paul after receiving the award.

The event also marked the launch of ‘Iconic Brands’ publication as part of WCRC Brands and Leadership Conclave 2018.

A champion of International Trade and Investment award was presented to Dr. Mohan Kaul, President of Indian Professional Forum (IPF) and Iconic Leader was presented to Vijay Goel, founder of Indo-European Business Forum (IEBF).
